Which Clean Do I Need?

Skip the questions and see every cleaning type

Why the first clean matters

One clean won’t make a home perfect, especially if it’s been a while.

Arizona dust and hard water build up in corners, window tracks, and along baseboards.

Your first visit clears that buildup, so it takes the most time.

If your home hasn’t had a professional clean in the last 30 days, we highly recommend adding the Deep / First-Time Clean to your first visit.

After the first visit, your cleaner keeps your home at that level.

Each visit goes to upkeep instead of catching up.

Every cleaning type at a glance

Most homes need one of these: a standard clean, a Deep / First-Time Clean, a Move In / Move Out Clean, or post-construction cleaning.

Short-term rentals get turnover cleaning, and you can also book by the hour.

Recurring cleaning repeats on the schedule you pick, from weekly to once a year.

Here is what each cleaning includes and how the price adds up.

The examples use common home sizes. See prices for every home size.

Standard Clean

Best for: a home that had a professional cleaning in the last month, or one you keep up with.

What’s included:

  • All common areas: living areas, kitchen, hallways, laundry room and stairs
  • The bedrooms and bathrooms you book
  • Dusting and surface wipe-downs
  • Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
  • Vacuuming and mopping
  • Ceiling fans, light switches and vents
  • Window sills, wiped down

Baseboards and window tracks are not part of a standard clean.

How the price works:

Common areas are $100.

Each bedroom adds $30.

Each full bathroom adds $50, each ¾ bathroom $40, and each half bathroom $30.

3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms:

$100 + (3 × $30) + (2 × $50) = $290

For a studio apartment, book 0 bedrooms.

A studio with 1 full bathroom:

$100 + $50 = $150

Your cleaner stays until the checklist is done, with no time limit.

Recurring Cleaning

Best for: keeping your home clean on a schedule you set once, from weekly to once a year.

What’s included:

  • A standard clean weekly, every 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 17 or 26 weeks, or once a year
  • A flat rate for your home, not by the hour
  • Add extras to any visit
  • No contract
  • Change or cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice

How the price works:

Your first visit is full price.

Your discount starts with your second clean.

Weekly saves 30%, every 2 weeks 20%, every 3 weeks 15%, every 4 weeks 10%, and every 6, 8, 12, 17 or 26 weeks, or once a year, 5%.

3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, every 2 weeks:

$290 × 80% = $232

Weekly:

$290 × 70% = $203

Every 4 weeks:

$290 × 90% = $261

Every 6, 8, 12, 17 or 26 weeks, or once a year:

$290 × 95% = $275.50

Deep / First-Time Clean

Best for: your first visit, when your home hasn’t had a professional clean in the last 30 days.

What’s included:

  • Everything in a standard clean
  • Baseboards and door frames, mopped and wet-wiped
  • Window tracks, vacuumed and wiped out
  • Under beds and furniture that can be reached or easily moved
  • The fronts, backs and sides of furniture

We highly recommend it for your first visit.

It’s never required.

You decide.

How the price works:

3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, first visit:

$290 + $130 = $420

Then every 2 weeks, 20% off:

$290 × 80% = $232

For regular cleaning, start with the Deep / First-Time Clean, then keep your home there with recurring cleaning.

Move In / Move Out Clean

Best for: an empty home, before you move in or after you move out.

What’s included:

  • Everything in a standard clean
  • Baseboards and door frames, mopped and wet-wiped: $70
  • Window tracks, vacuumed and wiped out: included
  • Inside the oven: $50
  • Inside emptied cabinets and drawers: $50
  • Inside the emptied fridge and freezer: $30

How the price works:

The Move In / Move Out package:

$70 + $50 + $50 + $30 = $200

3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms:

$290 + $200 = $490

You don’t need the Deep / First-Time Clean with it, since both include baseboards, door frames and window tracks.

Post-Construction Cleaning

Best for: a home where construction or a remodel just finished.

What’s included:

Floors are the base.

Add what you need:

  • Walls and baseboards
  • Insides of cabinets and appliances
  • Bathrooms (toilets and the insides of sinks, showers and tubs)
  • Shelves in closets and other rooms
  • Interior windows
  • Exterior windows, first story only
  • Extra spaces like a basement, garage, casita, porch, balcony or patio
  • Ceilings

How the price works:

It’s priced by the square foot of livable space, not by room.

Floors are 30 cents per square foot.

Each add-on adds 5 cents per square foot, and ceilings add 10 cents.

2,000 square feet, floors only:

2,000 × $0.30 = $600

2,000 square feet with floors, walls and baseboards, and bathrooms:

2,000 × ($0.30 + $0.05 + $0.05) = $800

No discounts apply to post-construction cleaning.

When you book, enter your total square feet.

Airbnb and VRBO Turnover Cleaning

Best for: short-term and vacation rentals between guests.

What’s included:

  • A full clean between guests, from the same checklist every time
  • Extras like laundry, included in the turnover price
  • Photos after every turnover

Laundry covers linens and towels.

Turnovers can also include restocking your host supplies and damage or leak checks.

A seasonal Deep / First-Time Clean ($130) is recommended a few times a year.

How the price works:

Every turnover gets the weekly 30% discount, however often you book.

2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms:

$100 + (2 × $30) + (2 × $50) = $260

$260 × 70% = $182 per turnover

2 cleaners for 1 hour:

2 × $80 = $160

1 cleaner for 3 hours:

3 × $80 = $240

Common questions

Do I need a deep clean for my first cleaning?

It’s never required.

If your home hasn’t had a professional clean in the last 30 days, we highly recommend the Deep / First-Time Clean for your first visit.

It adds $130 to the standard price.

What’s the difference between the Deep / First-Time Clean and the Move In / Move Out Clean?

Both add mopped and wet-wiped baseboards and door frames to a standard clean, and both clean out the window tracks.

The Deep / First-Time Clean ($130) also covers under beds and furniture that can be reached or easily moved, and the fronts, backs and sides of furniture.

The Move In / Move Out Clean ($200) adds the inside of the oven, emptied cabinets and drawers, and the emptied fridge and freezer, for an empty home.

You only need one of them.

Do recurring discounts start with the first clean?

No.

Your first visit is full price, and your discount starts with your second clean.

A 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home every 2 weeks is $290 for the first visit, then:

$290 × 80% = $232

Can I book by the hour instead of a flat rate?

Yes.

Hourly cleaning is $80 per cleaner, per hour, with a 1-hour minimum.

For a whole home, the flat rate is usually the better deal, since your cleaner stays until the checklist is done.
